Every piece we make starts with the design you choose. Here is what happens between placing your order and opening the box. Every step is done by hand, with no kiln or high-temperature firing.
Step 1: Choose your design and item
Browse our ready-made designs, choose the one you love, and pick the item it will be made on.
Step 2: Add your personal details
When you place your order, add the small personal detail your piece offers, such as a name. Please double-check spelling before you check out, because each piece is made to order.
Step 3: Outlining the design with gold-toned lines
The signature of cloisonné is its fine golden outline. We place thin gold-toned wire along the design, following each line by hand so every section is clearly defined. This is what keeps colors neatly separated and gives the piece its classic look.
Step 4: Adding color
Each compartment is filled with color, one section at a time. We work carefully so shades stay inside their lines and transitions look smooth and intentional. Because the work is done by hand without kiln firing, we can control each shade closely.
Step 5: Sealing and curing
Once the color is complete, the piece is left to rest and cure for [24-48 hours]. At this stage, you can choose to add a protective coating or leave the surface uncoated. A coating adds extra protection and a polished shine, while leaving it uncoated preserves the natural, authentic look of the colors.
Step 6: Quality check and packaging
Each piece is inspected for clean lines, even color, and a smooth finish. It is then packed to international shipping standards for safe delivery worldwide. A gift box is available if you’d like to give it as a present.
Step 7: Worldwide shipping
We ships all around the world. Once your piece is ready, you will receive tracking details by email so you can follow your package every step of the way.
How long does a personalized order take?
Production takes about 1 week, plus 5-10 days for shipping. For gifts, we recommend ordering at least 4 weeks before your date to allow plenty of time for delivery.
